Former heavyweight champion takes aim at Gallen over 'absolutely pitiful' Code War performance

By The Roar / Editor

Former WBA heavyweight champion Lucas Browne says he believes Barry Hall should have been crowned the victor in his drawn Code War fight against Paul Gallen.

The NRL champion was scathing of the judges after it was announced the fight had resulted in a majority draw, saying he thought it was “obvious” he had won.

However Browne (29-2), who had previously said he would happily take on the winner, says Hall had “easily” been the better performer, describing Gallen’s performance as “absolutely pitiful”.

there was some of Brownes fights that were worse than pitiful and in my opinion the last few were nothing short of an embarrassment to the nation . Browne should be the last person making any comment

“Just finished watching the fight “ - looks like he watched it in the nude! Didn’t this guy win some sort of title then get stripped of it because he failed a drug test? I could be wrong - vaguely remember him?
