Vic Patrick, now he was a real boxer, highly talented and too tough for his own good. He met his match with his wife. In that pub they had she was the boss and he didn't argue. Lovely couple though, very hospitable.
Mate its a mugs fight to be honest , money making exercise and we are the mugs for even considering paying money to watch it....personally, I could not care less.
These blokes are that good that Vic Patrick would have cleaned them both up, and have done it comfortably on the same night ....
This is not a good match up and another sad state of affairs for the sport of boxing. It is little wonder that MMA/UFC is much better received these days and is actually doing better than boxing. For those who dont know Barry Hall does have an extensive boxing amateur career and he seriously considered going pro before having a successful amateur career. He was a Victorian amateur champion and is probably the more natural boxer. I think the odds are more than tasty for Barry Hal. He looks the much bigger man but Gallen does have professional experience but all against Tomato cans.
Boxing was once a great sport but not anymore. Here we have two combatants who decided they want to be pro fighters at a rather advanced stage of life for sportspeople. No years of amateur bouts to learn the trade, simply a decision to be pros. Some have said it is good publicity for boxing but it's not when the main event on the night barely gets a mention. It's a bloody shame two shonks approaching middle age can command all the attention and money. I'm sure there are multitudes that will eagerly tune in to watch this bout and thoroughly enjoy it whichever way it goes. I noticed in that video they even have a yank announcer to lower the standard even more.

In League I'm obviously a Tiger right but I don't mind the Sharks against other teams, and in Aussie Rules I've never supported the Swannies, however in this fight if Bazza can shut Gals up, I'll be cheerin loud and clear!!
