An eastern conference clash is on the table today as the big three of the Brooklyn Nets will be taking on the Toronto Raptors, who will be hungry for a win after a disappointing start to their season. Join The Roar from 11:30am (AEDT) as we follow the game with live scores and a blog.
Brooklyn’s big three have been working so far, with James Harden working brilliantly as a playmaker while Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant are both playing great basketball.
Harden has played nine games with the team, and has averaged a career-high 12 assists per game during this time.
Meanwhile, Irving returned to the court with some great play, while Durant sits atop the All Star voting and has had a season reminiscent of his 2014 MVP year with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors have struggled this season and seem far from their championship days in 2019. Kyle Lowry is starting to show his age, and Pascal Siakam has struggled in the leadership role.
However, there are some bright spots for the Raptors, who have seen terrific performances from Chris Boucher and Fred VanVleet.
Boucher is a favoured early candidate for the most improved player award, improving his scoring, rebounding and shot rejection statistics.
Meanwhile, VanVleet is coming off a monster 54-point game where he looked brilliant. He will be hoping to replicate some of this success to defeat this stacked Brooklyn Nets team.
Tip-off: 11:30am (AEDT)
