Bangladesh and New Zealand will both attempt to continue their strong starts to the Cricket World Cup when they go head to head at The Oval. Join The Roar for live scores and a blog from 10:30pm (AEST).
In a surprisingly entertaining performance, Bangladesh rocked the competition by setting a huge score against South Africa after being sent into bat. It wasn’t one performance, but several with the bat for Bangladesh as they cruised to 330 from their 50 overs.
New Zealand demolished Sri Lanka with the ball and then followed it up with the bat, winning by 10 wickets.
Each of the Kiwi’s six bowlers snagged a wicket in a mesmeric display of bowling whilst Martin Guptill announced why he is the reigning World Cup leading run scorer with a 51 ball 73 not out.
Prediction
Despite an elite performance by the Tigers with both bat and ball, the Kiwi’s are the reigning World Cup finalists and are a strong contender for this tournaments title.
However, if the Tigers are to get the win they will get the recognition as a dangerous side.
New Zealand to win.

The Bangladeshis have been impressive in this tournament so far. They bowled well to make a game out of this fixture. 6 wickets from the spinners who all bowled superbly and fairly economically. They might have won this game if Mushfiqur Rahim didn't make that error in trying to run out Kiwi Captain, Kane Williamson, when Williamson was on 9. Either way, they played well in the end, and if they made 30-40 runs more they might have won the game. New Zealand were great with the ball but a lot needs to be worked on heading into the latter stages and the next game against Afghanistan.

Ross Taylor has been named MOM for his 80 in the second innings from 91 deliveries, in some form at the moment, hugely important player if they are to win this tournament!

Big moments have lead to this result - no more so than the Williamson run out when he was on 9. However, Bangladesh did incredibly well to almost restrict the Black caps to under 250 because on this pitch that was under par!
