Oman and Scotland battle it out with the winner likely to be crowned winner of Group B and lock in their qualification into the Super 12s of the T20 World Cup. For the loser, their fate will come down to net run rate and they could well be packing their bags. Join The Roar for live scores from 1am (AEDT).
Oman will know that they are up against it here. Not only have they struggled to find form as a team in their opening two games, they are coming up against a Scotland side full of momentum and enthusiasm.
One of the few highlights from Oman’s opening two games has been opener Jatinder Singh, who followed up a swashbuckling 72 from 42 balls against PNG with 40 from 33 against Bangladesh. He needs help though, and Oman’s top order will need to flourish around him for them to be any chance of springing an upset.
Oman paceman Bilal Khan has been the other highlight from his country’s tournament so far – he’s leading the competition with 5 wickets so far from the two games. If teammate Zeeshan Maqsood can repeat his efforts from the PNG game, where he picked up four wickets, as well, then Oman could keep the Scottish batting line-up quiet.
This Scottish side know that they are just one win away from securing qualification to the Super 12s with an unbeaten group stage. Having knocked over Bangladesh in a major upset in their opening game, they will be full of confidence of even beating one of the Full Member nations in next week’s World Cup proper.
Richie Berrington has found some good form with the bat at the right time with a beautiful 70 against PNG in Scotland’s last game, and he’ll be crucial to his nation’s hopes. If they can deliver the same all-round performance as they did against Bangladesh then they will be far too much for Oman.

Berrington clobbers a huge six to win it for Scotland!!! A super team performance. Alongside them flooring ODI world no 1 ranked England in 2018, one of the greatest moments in Scottish cricket history. A convincing win over Oman and they top Group B to go through undefeated into the next round. A great captain’s knock from Coetzer who took it on himself to get them ahead of the required rate allowing Cross and Berrington to coast home.

Coetzer has not been in his best form. Also with a sore hand but has been playing shots tonight. Not all out of the middle but he sends the last ball of the power play over the grandstand. 1/45

Oman bowled out for 122 off exactly 20 overs. Jatinder Singh being run out off his first ball was a huge blow. The Scots managed to largely keep them in check thereafter in a disciplined display with Oman never really gaining much momentum. Scotland will fancy their chances of chasing this down. Coetzer left the field seemingly with a finger injury. Will he be able to open the batting?

Leasky strikes!! Important breakthrough Ilyas finds Munsey at long off. Gone for 37. Oman 3/53 after 10.
