Fresh off a dominant first-up win, South Africa look to wrap up the ODI series against Australia in the second 50-over match at Durban. Join The Roar for live scores from 10pm (AEDT).

Despite dominating the T20 series to claim a 2-1 win, Australia were unable to translate their dominance in the first ODI. Despite a strong start in the run chase, they ended up losing their last seven wickets for just 43 runs to lose by 75 runs.

Worryingly, it was the seventh time in Australia’s last ten ODIs against South Africa that they’ve failed to bat the whole innings.

Prediction
Australia will be smarting after a horror showing in the first ODI and can be banked to play a lot more competitively in the second game.

However, South Africa’s dominance over us in this format of the game has gone on for too long to be chalked down to just coincidence. The Proteas will have the self-belief to make it 2-0.

Join The Roar from 10pm (AEDT) for live scores as we find out who takes out the series.

Without ever winning a world cup, South Africa has a positive record in ODI against every nation in the world Australia: P-102 W-50 L-48 T-3 NR-1 England : P-63 W-30 L-28 T- 1 NR-4 NZeal....: P-71 W-41 L-25 T- 0 NR-5 W.Indies: P-62 W-44 L-15 T-1 NR-2 India : P-84 W-46 L-35 T-0 NR-3 Pakistan: P-79 W-50 L-28 T-0 NR-1 S.Lanka : P-77 W-44 L-31 T-1 NR-1 Zim.......: P-41 W-38 L-2 T-0 NR-1 Bang.....: P-21 W-17 L-4 T-0 NR-0 Minnows:P-24 W-24 Total : P-624 W-384 L-216 T-6 NR-18 (61.53%) (34.61%) (0.9%) (2.9%) Not too bad for a country where cricket is only the 3rd popular sport.

Inexcusable against the weakest SA team in a generation. Too much being asked of too few. The correlation between picking Marsh and losing is so strong.
