Well, that's settled then. I never even asked for a post from you, let alone "proof" of anything.

Do you. Your the one saying he said nothing . I'm just agreeing with the decision. I don't have to prove anything.

No. I don't accept your opinion. I'm glad you've worked that out. Nothing to "get over", though. Your opinion is providing no barrier here. You see, the umpire obviously gave evidence that there was no abuse because Marsh was not suspended. Marsh did, however, dispute the umpire's decision and that's what the fine was for.

No I don't Don and neither do you, but the umpire obviously did. Marsh couldn't accept the umpires decision and obviously you can't either. Get over it. All I'm doing is expressing my opinion and you can't accept that either.

So, what do you absolutely know with total certainty that he said?

I'm not imagining anything. I'm not the one who handed out the fine. I'm not happy with final outcome but I'll accept it. Simple as that.

Well that's where you and I differ.

I agree Mark....The Captain said afterwards that neither keeper or bowler thought he hit it so seems a perfect case where the Capt. can call him back...but he didnt...

In a perfect world sure. There is a law that says a fielding side may withdraw an appeal only with the consent of the umpire, and in the unlikely event, how many umpires would be prickly enough to not want to lose face and stubbornly deny such consent. Also, I’ve never yet know a fielding side to even seek such consent, although most will come clean when they know they haven’t actually caught the ball successfully.

The Sixers could have simply called him back.

It seems so. They certainly didn't see it necessary to suspend him.

So they fined him $5 K for saying no. Genius.

Lots/almost all umpires are respected. That umpire deserves no respect for that decision. He has responsiblies.

Hmmm! Didn't watch BBL? This has been one of the best series. You might forget it; that just means you're not a fan. I can't believe you think that test series was an "abomination" too. Perhaps you just don't get cricket. Strange that you are on a cricket site.

Marsh didn't swear. He screamed, "Noooo!"

So he has copped $5k fine. Zampa cops a match for swearing. Because Scorchers are playing whoever he escapes suspension . Where's the consistency.

I'm sure I've seen the red/green traffic lights used somewhere before. It's the most cost effective option as far as I'm concerned.
