last time this was attempted by the broadcaster the ascendant Australian team of the day objected, and repeatedly promoted their personal sponsors until the embarrassed broadcaster turned it off. The Aussie team is in no position now to object to scrutiny (thanks Davy), so we have an additional source of entertainment. I understand it is novel to have access to the stump mike, but it has all been pretty tame. We know that Kohli is a prima donna (nothing new). We are also learning that Paine has a sense of humour and will stand his ground without losing his cool. He seems to enjoy the contest, and looks to be a really good cricketer and a great choice as captain. But... hilarious? Controversial? Newsworthy? Let’s not get too carried away, what we have heard has all been very tame. Hilarious would require big Merv to come out of retirement, then we would hear some ripe and fruity language :)
