BA if the attacking decoy tries to go through the line on a defenders inside shoulder AND the defender makes a bad read and tackles him , the defender is at fault. If this causes the player to stop in the line it is still the defenders fault. You can argue with this interpretation for sure but it has been incredibly consistent all year. I can pick 95% of rulings before they are called. It was a complete lottery in the past. At least now it’s pretty consistent

Is the onus not still on the runner to get through and not stop in the line? Whether he was caused to stop by Brandon Smith or not, he still stopped and it prevented Papen whatever from attempting a tackle. Take B Smith out of the frame and focus on Papenalphabet. I still think it is obstruction.

Sorry insider. Smith makes contact from the outside in . THEN they both collect Papenhysen . Bunker right on. That have made the distinction between outside and inside shoulder cut and dried. Not perfect but heaps better than the lottery we had before.

He is correct. Cross eyed Pattern just looked at Brandon Smith making the wrong decision. But Papenalphabet was impeded by the decoy runner
