Craig Bellamy fires back at the Roosters over 'condescending' comments

By The Roar / Editor

Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy has hit back at what he believes to have been ‘condescending’ comments from the Sydney Roosters ahead of the two teams’ Good Friday clash in Melbourne.

The Storm and the Roosters will meet for the first time since the 2018 Grand Final, which Sydney famously won in emphatic fashion.

However Trent Robinson’s men have had little but praise for the Storm in the build-up to the match, with in-form playmaker Luke Keary even comparing the perennial premiership contenders to European football giants Barcelona.

But Bellamy was left less than impressed by the comments, believing the Roosters are playing mind games ahead of the match.

The Storm and Roosters currently sit in first and second position on the ladder.

Jeez, sorry for the compliment Craig? It may ruin the siege mentality you are trying to create? Let’s face it the comments were fairly close to the mark.
