Nathan Brown reacts to nightmare Knights showing after coaching announcement

By The Roar / Editor

Outgoing Newcastle Knights coach Nathan Brown has admitted his team’s poor showing against the Wests Tigers is a reflection of the situation the club finds itself in.

It was announced during the week that Brown’s tenure as Knights senior coach will come to an end once the 2019 season concludes, having joined in 2016.

Brown had said he hoped the coaching drama wouldn’t serve as a distraction for the players in the final weeks of the season.

Yet with finals still a chance for the Knights, they offered up little fight against the Tigers, conceding the opening eight tries and taking 72 minutes to score themselves.

I’m the first to give Brown the slap, BUT , that side is pathetic and it’s clearly nothing to do with brown, how dare they turn up like that! The lot of them have no respect no class and no pride! I believe these qualities are definitely not lacking when it comes to Nathan Brown, personally is walk out today, those players don’t deserve any coach

But. but....I thought you had rebuilt the club Browny? Enough with the excuses mate....its becoming crystal clear that you simply aren't a very good coach. The performance yesterday was an absolute embarrassment.
