Should Cameron Munster have been suspended for this 'dangerous' cannonball tackle?

By The Roar / Editor

Melbourne Storm’s Cameron Munster has likely escaped a suspension from the Match Review Committee following his side’s loss to the Canberra Raiders.

For the first time in their history, the Storm lost after earlier leading 18-0, with the Green Machine running over the top of the league-leaders in the second half.

However the Storm might be lucky to have Munster for next week after the star playmaker made an ugly looking cannonball tackle on Canberra’s Sia Soliola, which left the prop the worse for wear.

Though Munster was offered a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact charge, he will avoid suspension if he takes an early plea.

Meanwhile, Canberra’s Joseph Tapine can accept a $1,150 fine for his scuffle with the Storm’s Nelson Asofa-Solomona.

No. Match review committee says no, so the answer is no. I've seen a lot worse to be honest, it got a penalty and deserved a penalty. Dangerous contact charge, seems fair enough. Suspension, really?? Move along.

Munster proves once again he's an untouchable Storm favourite, they didn't suspend him for deliberately kicking a player in the head and won't be suspended for this either. The NRL probably bought his partner a diamond ring as well.

What makes me laugh is that 2 Raiders players get sin binned in the first 20 minutes. Tapine has a go at Nelson, Bateman is niggling all afternoon but what we single out is a Storm player. Conspiracy, what conspiracy ?
