It’s an All Black stronghold, not an Auckland one. Even then it might be more of a mindset of opposition than the ABs, listening to Merthens, he said as a Christchurch lad, he didn’t feel anything special with the ground and had no great affinity with it.

I think it's more about the team's than the ground. Plenty of Super Rugby teams have won their especially the last decade.
