Australia play their first game under Graham Arnold as the former Sydney FC boss looks forward to an Asian Cup defence.
It’s also the Socceroos’ first match since their 2-nil loss to Peru in the final group game of this year’s World Cup in Russia.
Premier League players Mat Ryan and Aaron Mooy will miss the game due to injury.
Danny Vukovic is likely to play as keeper.
Former skipper Mile Jedinak won’t be either after retiring from international football earlier in the year.
The amount of missing talent could see several young players get a chance to come on or start.
Kuwait have had a tough time at the international level.
They haven’t won a game in years and returned from a lengthy ban from FIFA just 12 months ago.
The 782-day ban came because Kuwait’s government was accused of interfering in the day-to-day business of the football federation.
But a result for Kuwait could see them get the momentum they need to finally get back on their feet.

Arzani and Mabil made a big difference when they came on, though the side looks really good, props to Arnie, Korea will be the test

Thanks for the blog, Isaac. The opposition didn't offer much in the way of a test however it was good to see the likes of Mabil and Deng on the pitch, particularly with the former doing what he does best, getting in behind defences. South Korea should give us a better idea as to where we are at, however it is a pleasing start.

87' - There was also a change a few minutes ago. Gersbach came on for Behich.

86 ' - The free kick comes very, very close. It hits the bar.

85' - Kuwait win another free kick in a dangerous area. Sainsbury gives it away. The Socceroos have given away a lot of free kicks in this area and if they do it against better teams they will be punished.

84' - That goal seems to have put a spring in Australia's step as they push forward looking for a fourth.

82' - GOAL AUSTRALIA - Rogic gets the ball down the middle with no pressure on him and he just slots the ball past the keeper. That was far too easy.

80' - Australia are still moving forward but not with the same intensity. I wouldn't be surprised if the game ends with this scoreline.
