Western Sydney Wanderers host Melbourne City for the prime time Saturday match this round. Join The Roar for live scores and coverage from 7:50pm (AEDT).

Before the international break Western Sydney fell to a strong Phoenix side away, while City took advantage of a misfiring Sydney to keep their spot in the top six.

Last time these teams met, we saw a late charge from City to nick the points back in a 4-3 thriller at Aami Park.

These teams were the hardest hit prior to the international break. Both lost three key players to the Olyroos. The Wanderers were missing Tass Mourdoukoutas, Keanu Baccus and Abraham Majok. While City went without Riley McGree, Lachie Wales and Nathaniel Atkinson. All six make their returns this weekend.

Western Sydney have elected to omit Raul Llorente and youth team players, Daniel Wilmering and Andrea Agamemnonos from the squad.

City will be without captain Scott Jamieson while he’s sidelined with a broken toe, while Rami Najjarine, Yaya Dukuly and James Delianov are the others to come out of the squad.

Prediction
Goals. Maclaren has been knocking goals in for fun for City, while Oriol Riera and Mitch Duke look to have formed a strong partnership for WSW. The result itself though, is harder to predict.

Match Review: A very uneventful first 35 minutes then Western Sydney were gifted a chance when Rostyn Griffiths gave away a penalty. Oriol Riera duly stepped up to convert the penalty, sending Eugene Galekovic the wrong way. The match then returned to its slumber, as neither side troubled before half time. The second half was much easier to watch, as WSW looked to create more, and City made attacking changes. Mitchell Duke scored WSW’s second of the night 10 minutes after half time when he got on the end of a very tasty team move involving Abraham Majok and Raul Llorente down the left wing. City would have a few chances over next 30 minutes, but they ultimately would fail to get the better of an organised WSW defence. Riera netted his second and WSW’s third in the 84th minute, when he was played through by Alex Baumjohann. The win for WSW keeps their very slim chance of making finals alive. While City slip to 5th behind Wellington, and can drop to 6th if Adelaide defeat CCM tomorrow.

A win for the Wanderers but if they get crowds like that at Parramatta they won't break even.

WSW GOAL!!! 84' Alex Baumjohann plays a through ball neatly in front of Riera. Riera left yards of room by Good, as he cuts it back to his left foot to score his second of the night. WSW 3-0 City
