Up to 20 players representing from the Cronulla Sharks, Manly Sea Eagles and North Queensland Cowboys purchased supplements from the boot of a car owned by sports scientist Stephen Dank, it was reported last night.
Darren Hibbert, nicknamed ‘The Gazelle’, is involved in ASADA’s anti-drugs investigation and told ABC’s 7.30 Report last night that he had sold the supplements from the boot of his car.
The Daily Telegraph are reporting that Hibbert, who worked with Dank at Manly, has confirmed that he has been interviewed as part of ASADA’s ongoing investigation.
The report now suggests that ASADA’s investigation is now targeting players who continued to maintain relationships with the pair after their official roles at the Sea Eagles had ended.
More to follow.

? What's the point of this dumb labour initiated load of crap ? How can one get in trouble for doin something legal ? As for WADA if they had anything if they had balls they would have stepped in weeks ago, I'm beginning to think your a labour stooge cause only a stooge can accept what's going on , if people have done wrong get in prove it and suspend and don't tell me this doesn't have labour all over it , it's why the country's in the sxxt house state

And here I thought that if ever an Underbelly was going to be written about sport it would center around West Coast and Ben Cousins. My hats off to all the teams that have stepped in the way for us.

Again "illegal" isnt the issue. The issue is whether those substances fell under the WADA rules - and if they werent approved for human use, or were peptides that help with strength, energy, muscle building or recovery, they dont.

wow manly might just have to have its premierships taken away after all this. Obviously they werent fairly won. Not surprised though with that club, but I fear with the beneficial treatment that manly receives it might get swept under the rug

Once again the jury take evidence from the judge, the dishonarable Sir Daily Telegraph. Lets stop salivating at these unsubstantiated rumours.

Such a shame the Cowboys get dragged into this because of one dodgy Manly player they bought... I wonder if a club can sue a player for bringing its brand into disrepute.

Totally agree , but lets be sure firstly that the substances at the time were illegal , and more importantly there's no one using this stuff now that it is illegal, and on another note rub em out for life not 6 months ,not 2years no ones entitled to bring the game or any club into disrepute ,,,

the more dirt that gets dug up makes things stink a bit. Can't wait till they get to the match fixing and links to organized crime allegations.!! Seems to be a little bit of more bad news everyday. with a bit of luck this might be all over before the 2014 season starts. Then make a fresh start. Oh,hang on, I thought 2013 was supposed to be fresh start.

If the reports are correct and this ends up being true....the 20 players should be banned for life. Buying drugs out the back of a car - that is just plain cheating and doing it knowingly as well.

If this is true I guess players cant really claim to be innocent in all of this.

lol. This just gets better. Dodgy Dank selling his HGH and anabolics to cheating NRL players from the back of a car boot. Classic.
