Ignorance is bliss eh? I’m with you Jack Henry.

Queensland hates me but respects me: Gallen

It worked for the Lions here in Brisbane. Pretty well too.

Frustrated fans want NRL expansion

A timely and well-written article Von Neumann. Can’t wait to be spoilt with watching the best of the best and up and comers from around the world.

It's time to silence the Rugby League World Cup's critics

Maybe in 2015, not before. No chance.

Hoffman 'not right' for fullback: Hodges

TBH, Deb Coach, I don’t fully get it either. I do know that you are referring to the farcical Nobel peace prize that Arafat was awarded, so I’m guessing you are making a tenuous link to the similarities of Lebanese football to such a farce? I don’t get it, or believe it. Maybe I’m missing something further.

Lebanese rugby league continues to grow

About as funny as the first.

It was you, wasn’t it Debbie Coach… No need to boast.

Lebanese rugby league continues to grow

Great article! This shows the benefits of NRL players laying foundations in other countries to enhance the code’s globalisation.

After all, we as Australians should know better considering that the grand majority of us were introduced to this fine country, yet we all now consider ourselves truly Australian.

Does Anthony Griffin have something up his sleeve?

I think his form as a winger compared to his form as a fullback has negated your statement. Crazy, but I agree with oikee… Time for a shower, I feel dirty.

Does Anthony Griffin have something up his sleeve?

Well said.

Four reasons the Broncos must chase Cameron Smith

Yikes – dangerous territory to be mentioned in the same sentence as Oikee. I’ll choose to ignore that one. In re-reading your comment, I think I misinterpreted, sorry for that.

I never accredited the four premierships to Langer alone, more comparing the team player aspect of the two and the related success.

Smith, Lewis, Langer, johns, fittler are the best league men in my lifetime

Four reasons the Broncos must chase Cameron Smith

You make it sound like he can go where he wants. He would need to be wanted first.

Marshall unsure at what the future lies

+1 and happy to relieve you of DCE 😉 I wish

Four reasons the Broncos must chase Cameron Smith

Fair bit of leg-pulling goin on all round it seems..

Four reasons the Broncos must chase Cameron Smith

You forgot the FOUR premierships. Johns is a disgrace – a very talented, self-important one with questionable character. What’s that saying, “beauty fades, but ugly lasts forever”.

Yeah, I agree. Macca, whilst slow is reasonably solid without being great. I also agree that we don’t need Smithy as badly as we do DCE or Milford. What I am concerned about though is if we do get a great half, they will be rendered ineffective by Maccas service speed just as Prince, Wallace, Hunt, Norman. Lockyer helped to make Macca look good, coincidently, the same years Macca was touted as the next QLD hooker. Lockyer had that rare, innate ability to seemingly slow down time which made up for the slow ruck service.

One reason why buying Smithy could be astute is the possible future coaching role. Now that would be worthwhile if it is a reality. He’s made for coaching.

McCullough is simply not a dummy half. He provides the slowest service of all 9’s in the comp. he does have a lot of heart though and, for his and the broncos sake, he needs to transition to a lock for when Parker retires. He is originally a five eight who was too slow to make it in that position in first grade. Now he consistently feeds the halves slow ball so that the halves are made to look bad due to reduced time and space. I do like the guy as he is brilliant in defence, but he is not a natural dummy half. Or is it just another instance of bad coaching? Surely it can’t be hard to teach a bloke to feed the ball quicker from a tackle.

Agree with you on the first paragraph, the second needs a little perspective.

I’m not a big fan of Hunt, but He has been coached out of form by playing him as a bench hooker for years. As such, I’m not surprised he has lost his form as a halfback.

McGuire does give it his all, but sustained that detached retina and has had reoccurrences of the same injury and is now permanently disabled in terms of vision. He was told to never play again as I think he only has 20% vision in one eye which he has stated makes it hard to receive the ball on one side of his body and to be aware in terms of vision. He deserves some credit for this.

Norman, no excuses. He has a pea heart as proven this year. Good riddance and expect to see him in reserve grade for parra until released.

You are correct in that insightful coaching has been our biggest flaw since Bennett.

Love it, QLDs best origin mole since Anasta. Keep up the good work NSW.

But seriously, sounds like he cares more about himself and his position than the team’s goals. This is where you blues really just don’t get it. So busy attacking each other, there’s nothing left come game time. How many times did he say “I/me/my”? 9 times! He said “we” once… Surely this reflects his mindset in terms of the team. As long as he has a good game (no matter the final result), it sounds like he will be happy because he will be safe in his position.

What happened to a team culture of doing it for your team and the pride in the jersey? If you listen to Pearce, anyone would think this is an individual sport, this line proves it: “I’ve got to win, full stop. So if I don’t win, I’ve got no doubt I won’t be there.”

I’m not saying it is all his fault, it isn’t, it’s the whole mentality behind the blues team that needs to be reassessed. As much as I dislike Ricky, he was at least developing a cohesive force that put their teams interest before individual interest.

It’s late, hopefully that made some sense…

Pearce rates Origin a personal must-win

Don’t paint us all with the the oikee brush. Some of us love the game more than the club.

Bronco Benji: the perfect solution

Great news EJ, thanks for the info.

Bronco Benji: the perfect solution

I would rather keep Hannant, Parker, Thaiday any day. Three internationals. If they want hunt and Wallace, no worries but they would be idiots.
