Joe Tomane, Chris Feauai-Sautia ruled out of Saturday’s third Bledisloe Test

By The Roar / Editor

Wallabies wingers Joe Tomane and Chris Feauai-Sautia have been ruled out of Saturday’s third Bledisloe Cup Test against the All Blacks with injury.

Tomane and Feauai-Sautia attempted to overcome hamstring awareness issues during the past two days of training but following further assessment were ruled out by medical staff on Tuesday afternoon.

The pair will spend the week in rehabilitation and re-join the playing squad next week and travel with the Wallabies to England on October 18 in preparation for the five-game Spring Tour.

NSW Waratahs winger Peter Betham has been added to the squad for the upcoming Test and will be part of the 24-man playing group which travels to Dunedin tomorrow ahead of Saturday’s match in New Zealand.

Yeah it's a bugger when backs become aware of their hammies, "Hey Joe, does my butt look big in these shorts?" "I dunno Chris, but what are those 2 lumps of muscle hanging off the back of your thighs?" "What the.... You've got em too Joe. EWEN!!!!"

Morahan yes, Davies NO (he's fast, but can't hold his own under the high ball, under pressure...or tackle well enough)

Betham is doing well. Only a couple of weeks ago he only rated as a bench player for Sydney Uni in the Shute Shield grand final.

I think Cummins is still injured, but should be fine for the EOYT.

Given who is left, I think that would be a good call Albo! Folau to wing, Foley at fullback. I fear Folau will be found out at fullback against the ABs.

Yes for Morahan, but no for Davies and Turner, and Crawford is injured.

Wow - hamstring awareness issues! That's interesting terminology. In my day, we felt a strain.....

A winger has to catch before he can score...

No I saw, but I also saw plenty of weaknesses and I'm sure Shag and co saw more than I did.

no great loss.. Cummins will easily fill the role of Tomane.. and the other fellow isnt test standard anyway.. so Link will continue with mowen out of position at 8 when he is a far better 6.... and then play ben Mc at 6 when he is a far better 8.. if only the wallabies selectors had a modicum of the intelligence that the kiwis do they may be able to compete.. certainly doesnt help when you pick the wrong players consistently and then the right ones you do pick you play them in the wrong position..

Miss seeing him in every other game where the opposition played better than the Adelaide under 13 team?
