Thanks Griffo...
Happy for everyone to spread the word to help build the audience and of course we welcome any feedback to help us improve.
It would be great to see more fan-made podcasts out there. We've found it takes a fair bit of effort to make them but its been great thus far. Podcast Tuesday sounds like a great idea.

Don't feel too bad no one can match the Great and Powerful Les Murray lol. It's kind of hard to express pronunciation through text unless you know the other person is familiar with IPA, however:
Morgan Schneiderlin - doesn't have a d on the end
Vincent Kompany - pronounced more like KOM-pan-y not like our word company
Stevan Jovetić - pronounced more like YOV-e-titch not JO-ve-tik
David Silva - I heard this right and wrong (can't remember who was which as I was listening while working) but its more like Da-VID not DAY-vid
van Gaal - again heard this wrong and as close to right as can be expected from a non-Dutch speaker but its closer to van HAAL not van GARL
Jack Grealish - more like GREE-a-lish not GREL-ish
Bayern Munich - more like BUY-urn not like BAY-urn
Like I said I can get super pedantic about this kind of stuff and sometimes a bit superior but I mean well I promise :)
Hi Carl,
Thanks for the comment. Are you able to say which name we got wrong? We may not have the verbal dexterity of Les Murray but we can always improve.
As for the Villa, 7 points from 10 is a great start, but as I alluded to in the podcast, its likely this total will pretty much stay the same for the next 5 games. The style of play Villa have adopted thus far is an improvement from last season (hard not to be) but I still would like to see us take the game to more teams at home. Playing on the counter away is probably a smart tactic, but at home we should try and press more. The first half against Hull was a good example of this, but you are right that the second half showed its hard for us to maintain that over 90 minutes.
Cheers

Hi Joshua...
Thanks for the vote of support. We've enjoyed producing the podcast thus far and hope that people enjoy listening to it. Always open to suggestions as well. Happy for you to spread the word to bring in more listeners.
I used to write on the Roar a few years ago under a pseudonym. Isik and Lachlan are long time lurkers of the website and we thought this would be a way to add to the football discussion on the Roar in a different way. Thankfully the Roar were supportive and there is a wealth of material (like your article) for us to use for the Article of the Week segment. Hopefully we did your article justice in our comments.
We are all fans of football and play/coach to differing degrees. Our part-time panel members have a similar background.
Cheers

Good podcast but got to check your pronunciations of names, especially if its of a player on a team you support, I find that incredibly irritating (yes, I really am that pedantic...).
As for Villa sitting pretty in third, I'd be more than happy just to call the season right now after the last few years of pain and the run we've got coming. But who knows, we're back to playing some good football and so might snatch some points if the confidence levels stay high though the fadeout in the last 20 minutes against Hull has me just a little worried that the boys aren't quite ready for a high tempo style of play week in and week out.

Great podcast guys, keep it up! Are you all Roarers or just fans of football? Oh and thanks for discussing my article :D
