The new Wallabies jersey for the 2015 season, which includes the Rugby World Cup, looks to have been leaked online – and not too many people are happy with the design.
The images first surfaced on Twitter, following the release of the Springboks jersey.
Green and Gold Rugby fans were the first to have a crack, and weren’t too happy about the jersey either, with the most common complaints being the stars and stripes pattern on the sleeve and the yellowness of the jersey.
Quade Cooper attracted a little bit of heat a few years ago after he talked about his passion for playing in the “yellow jersey”, but with jerseys like this, who can blame him?
We thought we’d open up the floor to you Roarers, and see whether you love it or hate it.
Have a look at the full picture of the jersey below, and then vote in our poll as to whether you like it or not.
We’ve contacted the ARU to confirm whether the jersey is the real deal. They’ve confirmed the original shot was a fan version, but the updated shots are legit.
UPDATE: The ARU has released the images through the ASICS website, and it’s looking much less yellow.

The leaked Wallaby RWC jersey design was no hoax…

Yeah, it was always yellow for the rest of the world. Never Gold.

Whoever the guy was who drank a whole case of pinapple cruisers to better the new jumper would probably be too schtonkered to remember what the original question was ;-)

I don't like that green pattern on the right shoulder. What's up with that. They should take that off and have green collars instead. It looks like an empty jersey to me. Too much bright yellow.

They have a 'supporters' version that apparently is a little more forgiving on the non-playing bodies of supporters. The white one looks great.

Have seen it in the shops, not really canary yellow at all. Does look like a soccer top though.

Looks fine to me. Immediately identifiable. Southern Cross gives it a little something extra. If there's some success in this new strip, we'll see it's popularity soar. But that's a rather large 'if'..

From an aesthetic point of view I don't mind it though the stars put me off. But the big issue is promotion, marketing, sales and ultimately revenue for the ARU so the game we all love and support remains viable and grows. So the lack of pr and marketing awareness around the launch of the jersey is really worrying. What did they have planned before this random press conference today? It certainly didn't allow them to control the narrative. Here's the asics campaign ad... http://youtu.be/yLXH_AyIt3s I certainly hope the Wallabies have invested in marketing this year to leverage the World Cup... Not off to the best of starts

They alternated with a maroon jumper when playing in Qld, then amalgamated the jumper into sky blue with maroon hoops

Colour should be set in stone with no change possible. Both the green and gold. Pantone colour coded.

TBH Aussie fans, I don't see anything wrong with it, and I guarantee this, if Australia make WC final every man, woman & child in Australia able to afford one will be wearing it.
