The ex-partner of Semi Radradra has reportedly applied for an apprehended violence order against the NRL superstar.
Fairfax Media has reported police are investigating Perina Ting formally applied for an AVO against Radradra.
The latest revelations come after the 24-year-old was a no-show at training on Wednesday and was instead granted yet another extension on his Fiji holiday to deal with personal issues.
Radradra’s manager George Christodoulou guaranteed his client would not only be back to take on Cronulla in an NRL fixture on Saturday, but promised he would also serve out the remainder of his current contract.
Eels players insisted before Wednesday’s training run that they were happy for Radradra to waltz back into the team despite missing the first few days of preparation.
“We thought he’d be here, but we’ve been told by Brad this morning that he’ll be back. That’s all that matters,” prop Danny Wicks said.
The Kangaroos international was originally scheduled to return on Sunday.

You are braver than me. I was going to say the same but it is such a touchy subject - for good reason. I hope it is not true, regarding the accusation. If it is true then Semi is stuffed. Let us wait and see. The timing of this seems odd bearing in mind it was over 12 months ago and his ex girlfriend is requesting an AVO now. It seems so weird. Then again, the Eels story is just too weird to comprehend this year. A movie would be sensational

I know it's a free country with free speech and all that... But I think these articles should be "news only" and not allow comments. Really serves no good purpose to speculate on stuff like this. Lets just leave it to the tabloids guys and girls and elevate The Roar above that muck.

No jumping to conclusions here ! We have already seen this year a high profile footballer badly smeared by dodgy accusations including an AVO , that the judge completely threw out with extreme rebuking of the accuser !

This could be all about $$$ by his girlfriend, especially if he scarpers to France and he won't pay her 'child support' plus she won't enjoy the lifestyle that she is used to with Semi. The SDK incident was disgusting and allot of people (I stood up for him and got criticised extensively here) accused SDK for the wrong reasons. Let's see how Semi's case unfolds?

I think we all need to be cautious about what we say and think around this issue. There are so many missing pieces here. Probably best to sit back and just let it unfold. I hope people don't hang this man out to dry before more is known. Not even sure if this incident and his absence are in any way connected.

It's either an 'AVO or a violent charge against Semi.An AVO is taken out for violence or fear of violence of the victim, and that is from the day it was applied from, and not for/from any past dates. Charges can be taken out by Police for past violence incident(s), with proof of course, but in this case as it was 12 months before his girlfriend would have to have photos and any hospital records of the offence(s). That is why an AVO is called 'An Apprehensive Violence Order' (Apprehensive-anxious or fearful that something bad or unpleasant will happen).

Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Case in point SKD and Snake. No point throwing him under a bus when an advo has been applied for, not reported as granted and no evidence has been tested.

No wonder he scarpered. The facts and reasons are slowly being uncovered about Semi and why he is not coming back. RU and the French club can have him.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!

Well its an AVO application but no talk of charges. And it was more than 12 months ago. So if he hasn't caused any harm to the person in the mean time then I don't know if they will award an AVO or not? - I am not an expert of such things.
