Match preview:

The Brisbane Bullets make the trip down south to tackle a struggling Adelaide 36ers outfit this afternoon as they look to consolidate a spot at the pointy end of the standings. Join The Roar from 5:30pm (AEDT) for all the live scores, highlights and action.

Coming off a pair of wins last round, Brisbane are looking to contend with the top dogs of the NBL as they sneak up towards third place on the ladder.

A huge win over hot title favourites the Sydney Kings last week was backed up with a stellar performance on the road against the Taipans, breaking away in the third quarter to sink the home side and take the win.

On the other hand, the 36ers have lost their last three games on the trot and sit in second last place after a scrappy start to the season.

Despite taking the lead into the final quarter, Adelaide slipped up late against the Hawks last week, scoring just 11 points in the last term to lose by just as many.

Adelaide took down the Bullets the last time these two faced off earlier in the season, with the Round 2 victory causing Brisbane to stutter early on in the season.

Brisbane would suffer four losses in five games from that defeat before bringing it back in the last few weeks, whereas Adelaide have gone down the opposite path.

The 36ers have a secret weapon though.

Jerome Randle has set the NBL alight since arriving in Adelaide, and he currently leads the league in points per game with an average of nearly 24. He also sits fifth in the assists table.

Brisbane has two of the top five rebounding players in the competition, with big man Torrey Craig leading the way with nearly 9 rebounds per game.

Prediction
The 36ers hold that win over the Bullets earlier in the season, but their form since then has left a lot to be desired.

Despite being on the road, Brisbane have been the better side as of late and have all the momentum behind them.

Adelaide will no doubt put in a strong game in front of the home fans, but the Bullets should be too good this afternoon.
