NRL team list Tuesday live blog: Round 8 – all 16 teams named

By Scott Pryde / Expert

After a number of high-profile injuries last weekend, it may be the most important team list Tuesday of the year so far. Join The Roar for live coverage of all the Round 8 news and changes from 3:30pm (AEST).

With Anzac Day falling on a Wednesday, the teams for the first two games of the round have already been announced. The Warriors will be without Shaun Johnson and Solomone Kata (who missed last week anyway) along with Tohu Harris.

The trio being out will make life tough against the Storm, who will miss Jesse Bromwich for the next month.

The Dragons are virtually unchanged for the eighth time, with Jacob Host named on the bench ahead of Hame Sele, while Sio Siua Taukeiaho has been named to make his return on the pine for the Roosters.

Elsewhere, Mitchell Pearce and Andrew McCullough appear to be the two most high-profile casualties from last week. The Knights half is expected to miss 16 weeks with a pectoral injury, while McCullough is going to be out for a couple of weeks with a hyperextended elbow.

Rabbitohs forward Sam Burgess will miss another two weeks with yet another suspension, while John Asiata will miss plenty of time for the Cowboys with a pec injury. Jarryd Hayne is also out with a hip injury, while at the Tigers, Jacob Liddle and Elijah Taylor are in a race against the clock to be fit.

The news is better at the Sharks, where Jason Bukuya and Wade Graham are both rated as chances to return from injury.

No 'PNG Broncos fan88' that is a mystery! As it has a big bearing on every game and the NRL doesn't release those names! It amazes me that they never do that. Never mind, it won't make any difference to your Broncos as the Rabbits will smash them 'Unless' Klein is the ref lol Go the Bunnies!!!

Does anyone know if Brown could be a late inclusion for Parra?

hi Scott, Any chance you could update the match officials for each match as well?

I hear you Geoff. Stuart has moved beyond incompetence. Its starting to look sinister, like he actually wants the team to do badly. Not even Stuart could be dumb enough to keep playing a halfback (Hingano) at hooker instead of a decent hooker (Garvey). Sure, try it once, but after 7 weeks of it failing miserably sticking with it is just incomprehensible. Austin is even more puzzling. What does he have to do to get dropped??

Why not just start Kodi in Hooker? McGuire is one of the best running forward in the team. No doubt Kodi goes in eventually although could be a speed bump for the big Bunnies pack. At least he's safe knowing Sam is only there for moral support.
