The West Indies have racked up 1-126 against England by lunch on day two for their second Test with the visitors failing to turn the tide.
The West Indies have pressed home their advantage early on day two of the second Test against England in Antigua, racking up 126 for the loss of only one wicket in their first innings.
The home team put on 96 runs in the first session, with opener John Campbell the lone man dismissed before lunch on Friday, caught behind for 47 off Ben Stokes.
Kraigg Brathwaite was unbeaten on a patient 48, while Shai Hope was 22.
It was a frustrating session for England, whose bowlers tested the batsmen without the reward they must feel they had earned on a North Sound pitch that looked distinctly less green than on day one.
England, one down in the three-Test series, were bowled out for 187 on Thursday on a lively pitch that offered the fast bowlers ample assistance.
Stuart Broad, back in the England side after being left out for the first Test, bowled 12 economical overs for just 22 runs, while Stokes was on 1-29.
West Indies trail England by only 61 runs, seemingly on their way to a sizeable first-innings lead in a match England need to win to have any hope of winning the series.

The Ashes will see two sides with unsettled batting line-ups, with particularly questionable top order players. Even with limited cricket under their belts, I’d almost prefer to be in the Aus camp assuming Warner and Smith slot back in. England on the other hand continue with their awkward balance, an oversupply of guys suited to 6-8, but not enough top order grit. Aside from Root and Bairstow it’s difficult to pencil anybody else in 1-4. Burns might be finding his feet now but I’d be stunned if they include Jennings, and even Denly is an unknown yet. Cook had a dozen (or more?) opening partners since Strauss, leaving one opening spot a total question mark, now it seems they have two. Issues aplenty for both, but at the very least it could present a mouthwateringly close series between good pace attacks.
