Chelsea have agreed a 97.5 million pound ($A183.9 million) deal with Inter Milan to re-sign their former striker Romelu Lukaku, according to a report.
Chelsea have agreed in principle a 97.5 million pound ($A183.9 million) club record deal to bring Romelu Lukaku back to the Premier League from Serie A side Inter Milan, Sky Sports television has reported.
Sky said on Saturday the paperwork was with club lawyers, with the Belgian set to sign a five-year contract after a medical.
The prolific 28-year-old striker joined Chelsea in 2011 but made only 15 appearances and was sold to Everton in 2014 after loan spells at West Bromwich Albion.
He joined Manchester United in 2017 before a move to Italy in 2019. Lukaku scored 24 league goals in his two seasons in Serie A and helped Inter clinch their first title in 11 years in 2020-21.

Sickening really, whilst FFP is a great first step, you feel like some level of taxation is required on these obscene figures.

I'd consider him at 11.5 or less. 12-plus and I'm out.

I've been a Chelsea man for 50+ years and I can't believe this signing.Nearly a £100m for a man who couldn't get a game for us not too many years ago. It's almost as bad as paying £71m for Spain's reserve goalkeeper and then finding out he's not much good. Still I can console myself with the fact that we haven't spent £100m for Jack Grealish.

Think I'm going to add Lou Kaku to my EPL fantasy team.

Insane money. It's a great Saturday night for Daniel Levy too.
