The NRL preliminary finals teams have been revealed.
The Melbourne Storm will be buoyed by the return of State of Origin winger Josh Addo-Carr from a hamstring injury ahead of Saturday night’s second preliminary final.
His inclusion – at the expense of Isaac Lumelume – is the only change for the Storm as they gear up for a mouthwatering grand final rematch.
Melbourne are also buoyed by Brandon Smith’s naming after fears he could have suffered a facial fracture in their qualifying final win.
Their opponents, the Penrith Panthers, however, could be down an Origin winger of their own with Brian To’o only named among the reserves as he races the clock to recover from an ankle injury.
Mitch Kenny – who was at the centre of last week’s trainer controversy – has succumbed to his ankle injury after all and has been replaced by Tyrone May on the bench.
The South Sydney Rabbitohs and Manly Sea Eagles have made no changes to their respective sides.

Why are u so agitated by my replies to your posts, TFW? I can absolutely guarantee u I have no interest whatsoever in your inbox, nor would I have any idea how to access your inbox. I hope u found some comfort in your “DM” with Eelsalmighty…not that I know what such a thing involves - I am quite the dinosaur in that regard. But, good luck to u, regardless. Best of luck also in these exciting times, TFW. Go, Manly!!!

If if he can't resurrect the grasshopper, he will find a way to make the Storm ' 5 card hold em down ' a public issue before the GF ( as he damn well should ). He is the true Master Po.

Maybe Wayne can get Barry "the Grasshopper" Gomersall to come out of retirement, so Souths can get a fair crack? He just has to convince "the Grasshopper" that red and green are the colours that make maroon and are QLD's alternate colours.

Mate, mate , mate . Stop worrying about the bloody Panthers . You are going to play Melbourne in the GF. Start worrying about Sutton and the Storm.

That is why Ilias is viewed as the long-term half. He is a decent organiser and has a good kicking game. He played against the Dragons in the last round of the regular season. As I said, Milford would slot into the halves until Demetriou thinks Ilias is ready. Ilias may well start the season at HB. Milford is capable of filling in at FB as well if Demetriou has plans for Latrell at left centre, although I don't Latrell will be moved. I was always against Souths releasing Reynolds. I think it's a bad move, both for the Rabbitohs and for Reynolds.

How does Manly beating a badly depleted Roosters side lesson their chances against South’s? It was an easy , confidence building exercise. Only increases their chances against South’s. Of course, even the Manly haters will be supporting Manly over South’s.
Seriously...

There’s only 1 winner in a Storm versus South’s GF. It’s all Purple!
Wait a minute!

I rate both Milford and Walker, but not (so much) together in the halves. I don' see either as an organiser, both can be very off the cuff etc. I think whatever you do to replace Reynolds in the short term at least is likely to be a step down, and a Milford/Walker pairing looks very wrong to me. That aside, you may be forced to implement a plan B anyway.

Just on the Milford comment, I read it that he seemed to be having a verbal argument with his partner which resulted in 3 bystanders (2 women) interceding, resulting in the alleged assault charges. Maybe not dv, just plain assault if proven. Interestingly, Wayne won’t be there to oversee another of his redemption signing stories, with Roberts & Lodge proving to be failures so far. Can’t see Milf as a dummy half back up, middles tackle with their shoulders.

I was going to post something here but I thought better of it, concerning a pest from ZT that is trying to spam my ROAR inbox and cause trouble again, but I'll DM you instead. NINE unsolicited, harassing posts, I can only presume. I haven't read any of them, and I don't intend to. I'm not taking the bait this time around.

If Milford still is available to play after his DV charge over the weekend then initially I imagine he would slot in at 5/8 and Walker would play HB, but it would just be a number on their back. Milford would play at first receiver and Walker would play at second receiver, with Souths still playing their halves together on both sides of the field. Remember, once Latrell is back at FB, Taaffe can slot into the halves as well as long as long-term Reynolds replacement Lachlan Ilias. So Souths will have plenty of options for the halves. I'm assuming that Benji will retire and possibly stay on in a coaching/mentoring role at Souths, so eventually Milford will move to a utility role off the bench replacing Benji once Souths young guns have had time to establish themselves. Meanwhile, Milford can cover FB, 5/8 and HB and dummy half at a pinch. He wouldn't have been signed on big dollars, so he will not have that pressure on him just the pressure to nail down a regular starting spot... assuming his contract doesn't get torn up after recent events.

You don’t have a lot of faith in your team, do you? You’ve appeared to have been fabricating a pre-empted loss by referee injustice well before u even knew of the scheduled referee. Confidence in your team appears minimal.

I think you'll beat Manly pretty easily this week, and I think the Storm will do the same re the Panthers. But changing subjects entirely, I didn't understand the Milford (who I do rate as a playmaker by the way) to the Bunnies decision. How would Walker and Milford work, unless Milford is just a bench utility? Obviously there's the other Milford issue now, but irrespective I dont understand this one.

The chooks certainly did the Bunnies no favours. Souths would have been hoping for a bash up and for the game to go down to the wire. Instead, it was a cakewalk for Manly and a soft inside lane to a prelim final. That said, I was surprised Des waited so long to rest Turbo and DCE. That call could have been made with 30 mins to go. Unfortunately, for both our sides, HY the Storm were the ones to get a lucky break with the Panthers having two tough games back-to-back against the Bunnies and the Eels ahead of their prelim final this week. No doubt there will be the typical Storm high energy ambush in the first 20 mins, leading to the final coup de grâce of the Panthers 2021 season. I think both Souths and Manly stand the best chance against the Panthers, but that hardly seems likely. Time will tell.

Fair call mighty. But if you look at the track record of Atkins and Klein in favouring the Panthers, you would have to ask some serious questions. Assuming Souths make it past Manly and get to the GF the best result IMO would be for them to face the Panthers after 3 hard games against the Rabbitohs, Eels and Storm and with Souths having a mental edge and considerably more NRL experience I think the Bunnies would be a strong chance of winning premiership number 22 as long as Sutton is referee and Klein or Atkins are not allowed anywhere near the bunker. Let's see how many favours they do the Rabbitohs this week, shall we?
