CONFIRMED: Stan Sport reveals plan for spring tour coverage of Wallabies, All Blacks and Springboks

By The Roar / Editor

Stan Sport has confirmed it will show all 20 big international rugby matches over the next five weeks, including all three Wallabies games against Scotland, Wales and England.

Stan has acquired the rights alongside beIN Sports to the 2021 Autumn Nations Series.

On Stan, every match will streaming live and ad-free with full match replays, mini matches, highlights and rapid recaps available.

The 2021 Autumn Nations Series features the historic annual spring tours of the Wallabies, All Blacks, Springboks and Argentina.

The Wallabies face Scotland on Saturday week aiming to win a sixth straight match. The All Blacks will play Wales, Italy, Ireland and France and the Boks face Wales, Scotland and England.

The Autumn Nations Series includes the top 10 nations on the World Rugby rankings, including Japan, Fiji, Tonga, Uruguay and Georgia.

In addition to the men’s action, Stan Sport has also secured rights to the 2021 Women’s Autumn Internationals – comprised of 13 matches involving New Zealand, England, Canada, France, USA, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Japan and South Africa.

“We have had a phenomenal start for Rugby on Stan Sport in 2021, and it is great to see the growing interest for the game,” Stan Acting Chief Executive Officer Martin Kugeler said.

“The Wallabies, All Blacks and Springboks spring tours are a proud tradition on the rugby calendar, and we know fans will enjoy our coverage of every match against their northern hemisphere rivals. This announcement highlights our commitment to continue delivering the world’s best rugby all year round to fans in Australia.”

Wallabies captain Michael Hooper said: “This is a huge result for Australian Rugby fans, to now be able to watch the Wallabies all year round on Stan Sport. The Spring Tour matches are always special occasions, the atmosphere at the stadiums is electric, and they are always great games of footy.

“It’s been a great year for Rugby in Australia, and the partnership with Stan Sport has helped immensely from the community level right through to Test matches.”

BeIN Sports available on Foxtel, Kayo Sports and Fetch TV has also announced it will show the entire Spring Tour.

It means Australian rugby fans have multiple ways to watch all the games.

I've had that happen. Then I discovered the +30 option so that solved it.

Yes Double Agent, missed games (occasionally), but often missed the end of games. Essentially if you didn't record the next programme you were likely to miss the last three or four minutes. At the time we didn't have good internet so streaming was out of the question, so if Foxtel stuffed up the recording, which also happened fairly often, then no Rugby. Basically a flaky service for a lot of money. Wouldn't have been so bad if there was some decent programmes on Fox. Stan is much better in my view, at a third of the cost, although in saying that last night's NPC game hasn't been shown.

yeh thanks man – i’ve already tried that – the only problem is i end up missing the first one or two minutes of play sometimes – i also can’t handle all the pre game crap – the whole welcome to country – national anthems – hakas – it’s all getting abit how’s your father – takes like 15 monutes to get through everything – the only thing missing is the Queen coming out to shake hands with all the players – no wonder the poor old wallabies sometimes have slow starts – waiting through all that procession – they probably lose interest – i say bring back the marching bands at half time – the bag pipe players for the upcoming NH games

I totally agree mate… The Marko’s have a good backline so parity at least in the forwards will lead to a win. And yes it is great that all games will be shown on Stan, the viewing numbers will be high. I hope that you have a great weekend also, plenty of Rugby coming up so sleep could be a problem.

G'day MK, yep Makos for me. Cantabs have a few out I believe, so even though the game is in Christchurch I'm still backing the Makos. I think the Makos will have too much power in the backs, Makos by 10. Only joshing about the secret, but I reckon it wouldn't hurt some of the roarers to have a look at the NPC, they might even enjoy it! Good news that the EOYT games are being shown on Stan. Have a good day and a better weekend.

With all those busy corporate executives fussing about importantly at STAN and the ARU, inviting each other to lunch and to each other's corporate box, looking edgy by not bothering to shave, decked out in their modern business suits tailored by Lycra/Spandex - you'd reckon they might have found some time to Google "rugby" to discover there are a host of internationals scheduled which their customers might enjoy. This is Raelene Goth-like executive management planning! 2½ minutes before kick off they breathlessly announce the exciting news that their television channel which specialises in sport, and sport, will be broadcasting the matches. I do hope they are not paying these drongos for doing nothing!

Hey Big A, most of the pre and post-match show is drivel in my opinion. Gave up watching long ago, perhaps you should do the same? :unhappy:

Price Double Agent - as well as service, don't know about others, but Foxtel was a nightmare when it came to efficiency.

I love the coverage. My fav was Super Rugby Au - that was just brilliant coverage. Commentary team was brilliant. Keep that, at all costs. But then I just fell in love with that French series. Awesome commentary again. It was such good viewing. That was peak Stan 2021, for mine.
