The Queensland Maroons are on the brink of the first whitewash in over a decade as they head to Accor Stadium on Wednesday night, where New South Wales Blues will be hoping to stop the sweep.
There’s no such thing as a dead rubber in Origin, and ticket sales have still been strong despite the series being settled three weeks ago in Brisbane.
Close to 80,000 will troop along to Sydney’s West in the hope of arresting the slide and salvaging something from the 2023 State of Origin series.
The evening will start with a curtain raiser from the RISE Academy, who have featured in both games previosuly with young talent from the host states. NSW gets its turn with Blue v Navy.
Following that, Kiwi pop act SIX60 will perform live on the field, followed by a light show and the traditional pre-game ceremonies.
5:30pm – Gates open at Accor Stadium
5.45pm – Curtain raiser between RISE Academy Blue and Navy teams
7.30pm – SIX60 perform live
8.05pm – State of Origin Game 3 kicks off!
Of course, we will be on hand to bring you everything from Game 3 in this year’s Origin, so join us on The Roar for our live blog and extensive post-game analysis.

Why was a Kiwi band and Māori dancers part of the pre-game entertainment for a match between two Aust states?

A win by the Blues, however unlikely would be good for the series. ANZ Accor would be packed out. Record viewings me thinks.
