Port Adelaide are out to extend their club record winning streak to 12 when they head to the MCG to face Essendon. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:25pm (AEST).
The Power haven’t been beaten since Round 3’s Showdown loss, and with every week they look more and more a premiership contender, if not favourite.
Sitting sixth but vulnerable of falling out of the eight in coming weeks, the Bombers will need to be at their best to cause an upset – though helping their cause is that this match isn’t at Marvel Stadium, a venue the Power have mastered of late.

I mean we will win against north and west coast but I question the afl fixturing. Why are Essendon playing Geelong and Port and Collingwood twice

Plenty of gifts for the Power too, that high for floppy Butters was exemplary.
Marshall

Agreed, these are the ones that really stick and it's not an easy run home either.

There are many degrees of success; the Premiership is the ultimate of those successes, but it seems our friend wants Hinkley to win that flag before the actual Grand Final happens.

And this is why I'll never understand supporters like Joel.lol.

I get.that premierships are the ultimate goal bit I think some people.forget.just how hard it is to win them and the next.best thing is to have club stability and a winning environment, id much rather be a Port supporter over the last 10 years than I would say essondon or Carlton, premierships maybe even but I've had alot.more enjoyment and fun in those years than I'd say their supporters have had.

Joel are you that one person that when out with a group of people to have a good time and everybodys sitting chatting away enjoying themselves, your sitting there whinging and complaining about the food and service... Enjoy the ride, obviously premierships are the ultimate goal but winning more game a year than you lose on a regular basis its alot more fun than not..

In the words of Queen Elsa, "Let it Go"...

That awkward moment when your team has been that bad, for that long, that the downfall of others, is the most exciting thing you have to look forward too.. :silly:

Thanks man, not our best football but to come away with the win again is a good sign. I was already copping the messages during the 3rd quarter as in previous years we would just fall away and not fight it out so hopefully its a sign of maturity in the group.

They’re gonna drop the next three this was the game they needed to win and they didn’t

Great effort & commitment to the cause. Really Surprised by the bombers intensity maybe they are getting ready for a game of attrition against the dogs in 3 weeks.

Nah he won’t go there because he’s surplus to requirements

Fair enough it was a bad look and as far as head high hits are concerned I’d say the same thing about Essendon players if they did something similar

Fair enough . I'm not here to defend Rioli to the hilt but I did see it differently. And yes you're right about concussions , the AFL must protect the players head even more so than now.

Geelong are on the decline I’d say. Parish to Pies?

It is known port will not make the grand final this year. They have too many lapses like the game tonight and the game against Sydney earlier in the year
