The eight will be shaped as Geelong host Essemdon in a Saturday night blockbuster. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:25pm (AEST).
The Cats sit eighth heading into this match, but such are the fine margins between teams at this stage of the season that victory will see them leapfrog the Bombers in fifth.
With Isaac Smith and Jeremy Cameron back in, the Cats are favourites at their home fortress, but the Bombers are in excellent form, and an upset here would just about be their best win of the season to date.
Venue: GMHBA Stadium, Geelong
First bounce: 7:25pm (AEST)
TV: Channel 7, Fox Footy
Streaming: Kayo Sports

Hey the wife is a tiger supporter but doesn’t bother me if your lads can muster a win. Highly unlikely but anything is possible.

It's wce best chance, home with our best line up since Rd 2 and half of the derby in Rd 3. With nank suspension I became confident we could possibly get over the tigs.

I doubt Essendon will accept a return invite to Kardinia Park in the next 5-10 years … If only we could get the Pies to accept their invite …?
Doctor Rotcod

Nah,Lions came from four goals down ,got ahead, beaten by a point. The Daniher "goal " that bounced on end. One in a thousand miss. That would have been a Melbourne choke.

When the Cats do the Lions next Saturday, it will turn the Prelim Finals debate into a 3-horse race … and neither Pies nor Port will want us in that game … Timing is everything … Chris Scott knows that more than ANYONE

As an outsider, I see your oldies putting in the effort when it matters. But if a loss is on the cards, the queue is put away early. They will put away the bambies. Win 11.5 for the season. Rest of the 8 contenders are trying to avoid the finals pressure but 46 points is not enough.
