Can number eleven do number five this week?
AFL power rankings: The empire strikes back
Well done GWLS. Writing a a piece about the actual football. Much better than any humorless and unthinking barracking for a team or even against a team post match.
It was a nuanced and complex match that ebbed and flowed. It had some exciting and promising aspects for both sides.
You touched on the Tiger pressure, even intimidation. Some very experienced Cat players succumbed to it in the third quarter. They seemed to rise above it in the last. Who knows how it will play out in the finals. Do the Tigers player’s feel they can out pressure the Cats causing a choke? Or do the Cat players say we took all they could give but still took the game.
Can we talk about the footy, please?
Take care.
Doggies are a good chance. I don’t expect the Dockers to go down. Port will be desperate but home game after a loss will get it done.

Power and West Coast are a chance for an upset.

8 for me Dingogray. Scraped past the Pablo. Your boys cost me. But it was hardly close.
I think the Lions will rebound and belt the Dogs. They will if they have any heart. Your rest look just fine except I think the Pies will be good enough.
If I was a betting man and the odds were good, Freo has a chance of capitulating against a desperate Power and the confident but tired Tigers against a dismissed Eagles might stumble.

Fans must be super happy. I think they still might dip when a few of the older brigade hang up their boots in the coming years.
The AFL contenders rated: What will the final ladder look like?
Blues, Dockers and even Richmond are all big improvers on last year.

It was terrible. Always put in a vigorous impact player.
AFL NEWS: Stewart banned a month, De Goey back at Pies, Neale stays at Lions, Ryder calls out bar snitches
So you lost because…. A loss is a loss move on.

RT, Don had a point on Soldo. He did well. I always think that one player won’t decide the outcome. Sometimes it is more the interchanges which wasn’t the case here.
Richmond can say we only lose because of Prestia but with his injuries, he probably won’t play finals. Bizarrely, this injury may might make it more likely.

My submission had Tiger in ninth with a just kidding. The Editor was protective of you little petals.
AFL power rankings: The empire strikes back
I think WC are about 30% chance this week. Tigers off a hard game and not even rating them. If it was as in Perth!

Spanner, as a told Don, this is the power ranking, not the predicted outcome.

Or fools never differ. 😂 No Magpies? Are they a real powerhouse flying under the radar.
AFL power rankings: The empire strikes back
You might have an argument about the Pies. They did beat Melbourne and Freo ( way back). But they only fell over the line against GWS at the their bogey ground. Are you confident against the Suns?
AFL power rankings: The empire strikes back
Don, it is the power rankings, not ladder, not prediction. They are doing pretty good.

Thursday night might be your elimination final this year. A wounded Lions in their den.

Fabian, which of the 5 teams below them deserve their spot?
AFL power rankings: The empire strikes back
The Cats are a bit light on in he midfield Macca. Hopefully we will get Danger back and perhaps Parfitt. Even though Stewart is gone, we will have Henry back. And as you saw, he goes alright. Looking forward to the game.

Gold Coast then Port then West Coast more likely.
Six Points: The dangerous problem the AFL must fix now, and is there a better solution than red cards?
Haha so not your tips? That’s OK, I snagged Carlton too…. On gut feel. And I think again this week, maybe 10 goals.

What you would give for an opportunity to lose a final.
It's time to ease up on the Bombers
