The North Melbourne Kangaroos are looking for a big response after humiliation last week, but they’re up against the much-improved Adelaide Crows. Stay up to date with their AFL clash with live scores on The Roar from 1:10pm (AEST).
The Kangaroos had been the heavy wooden spoon favourites coming into 2021, but became the unbackable favourites after a shocking 128-point defeat to the Bulldogs on Good Friday. North haven’t come within a hectare of any of their three opponents in 2021 and now suffer the ignominy of being rank outsiders against the reigning wooden spooners just four rounds into the new year.
Adelaide, conversely, look to be a whole new side and have the chance to have matched their win total from a year ago inside the first month of the season. They dug deep after falling well behind Gold Coast in the first quarter last week to squeeze out a memorable ten-point win and will back themselves to put another four points on the board this afternoon and continue their impressive revival.
North Melbourne torched the Crows by 69 points when these sides met last season – their only win from their last 18 matches. They’ve won three of their last four against Adelaide, however, and haven’t lost to them at Docklands Stadium since 2013.

Venue: Marvel Stadium, Melbourne
TV: Fox Footy, Seven (SA only)

and do you have any idea why that may be? From what I've heard sacking Sancderson was entirely appropriate considering what he was up to! To say he'd lost the players is an understatement!

Brenton Sanderson former head coach of the Adelaide crows who unexpectedly led them to a prelim final in 2012 was unceremoniously sacked under two years later.

And the clown of the week award goes to ........ you
Intensity was there all day, perhaps not so much in the third – but their inability to hit easy targets today was very frustrating. A good side would have made us pay for the horrendous turnovers. Still very much a work in progress – need to prioritise good ball users
It’s a dead set shocker – I can’t see how the normal hoops guernsey wouldn’t have been enough of a clash today. Hope I never see the gold version again ????????????????
A brenton Sanderson situation - WTF are you on about?

I was well aware of North comin back hard after that drubbing. Still I wanted us to stare it down hard. A fair to good result. Last year we may've folded so ...

Fair enough - better to set a high bar - but you'd expect the Roos to react after last week - which makes the win even better given they were having a crack - jeez some of these young blokes have been impressive

I have the feeling that a brenton Sanderson situation may be developing with Matthew nicks, in which case I believe that nicks needs to be up front with the board and advise them not to sack him.

Yeah but it was mostly that paying way overs for him before he’d actually shown any consistency was a poor list management decision. Like if Stephenson stayed at the pies I don’t think they lose last night. Yeah the gambling thing was a mistake but I reckon he’s learned from it

Well they appropriated the State Tri-colours and it was always a strong blend of all 3. Except for that ghastly intrusion of white in the mid-80s

Ok, so I'm a bit harsh.

Avocado is worth a mortgage, so not bad. :)

What's wrong with that??? Is the AFL short of navy blue and black sides?

Too much gold.

Happy with the win - North were always going to come out strong after last week's humiliation - Crows dominated in the final term when it mattered - might have lost that one in the past two seasons - good signs

Why don't the Crows adopt this jersey as their regular one Rowdy, looks fantastic.

Not good enough. Crows were easily outscored 2nd and 3rd term. This was a percentage smorgasbord and we only got a piece of chicken and 2 slices of avocado.
