The injury-ravaged West Coast take on premiership fancies Melbourne as heavy underdogs, with a series of big names in the casualty ward. Join The Roar for live scores from 5:20pm (AEST).

The Eagles fought gamely in a Derby loss to Fremantle last week, but have since been counting the cost. They’ve been forced into a whopping seven changes to face the Demons, including captain Luke Shuey, star defender Jeremy McGovern and forward duo Jamie Cripps and Liam Ryan.

The Demons are in the opposite boat: Kysaiah Pickett returns from his two match-suspension to bolster the line-up, with James Jordon unlucky to miss out. A back injury also sees Ben Brown miss, with Tom McDonald back to partner second-gamer Jacob van Rooyen in attack for the Dees.

Had a mate, amateur rugby forward, who told me that he wouldn't shave for three days before a match, so that he could put his rough face across the tender parts of his opponent in the scrum. Dew might be having the same happen to him...

Great comment. As usual the visiting team get the rub of the green in front of goal against the Eagles with astonishing regularity when the same situation the other end is play on or a ball up. We counted 5 yesterday for this exact situation. 5 dubious frees is 36 points. In my view Melbourne didn't play well at all . If their mates in green didn't assist and there weren't WAFL players for WC it would be a different score

Melbourne also scored from two frees paid to Grundy for over the shoulder, when he infringed on Waterman in the Eagles goalsquare with no penalty. The difference between the advantage play ons irked me. One wasn't paid to the Eagles despite all the players anticipating it. The other was paid to the Dees despite no player anticipating it. Result: #1. No kick on goal by the Eagles #2. Goal to Melbourne. Not that Melbourne weren't better. But they weren't ten goals better

WC had 8 players with less than 20 games under their belt. 6 WAFL kids played in this game. 6 goals were caused by bad mistakes with turn overs from the kids , in perspective, it was hardly a good win by Melbourne

Yeah honestly he doesn’t strike me as someone who has dealt well with the stress of coaching very well the Suns need a more attacking coach
