Eagles 18 hasn't published any posts yet

Western Bulldogs gave up 3 1st round picks for pick 4 which will become pick 6 on draft day/night.
And yes, any team that’s wants pick 1 will have to pay overs!

Do the Eagles give up pick 1, and does 'required' Pie get to Sydney? Five burning questions ahead of the AFL Trade Period

That took me around the blocks a few times 😂
Long read. Must of taken a while but very well said 👍

Do the Eagles give up pick 1, and does 'required' Pie get to Sydney? Five burning questions ahead of the AFL Trade Period

Adelaide offered 3 1st round picks to Nth Melbourne for Ice Baths (JHF)

N.Daicos has helped Collingwood become a powerhouse in just 2 years

Reid has excelled in all leagues he has played in including VFL and is the most talked about 17-18 years old player I have ever seen in my 34 years following AFL. He will also have a big following which will generate a lot of money to the club he gets drafted to.
Personally I don’t want West Coast to trade pick 1 so yep, 3 1st rounders or take the next player whoever is available!

Do the Eagles give up pick 1, and does 'required' Pie get to Sydney? Five burning questions ahead of the AFL Trade Period

Pick 2 (3) & 14 (17) is a joke and will not get the deal done for Eagles to trade pick 1.
Curtin is not a top 5 pick and West Coast should call Nth Melbourne bluff. They won’t use pick 2 on Curtin.
In my opinion, they should take Reid flight risk or not but if they must trade, 3 1st round picks including 2 in the top 10.

Well said. He jumped and knocked out the player with his elbow.
It’s not about if but how many.

UPDATE: Maynard sent straight to Tribunal over Brayshaw collision as AFL steps in

Adelaide should be playing finals not Sydney!
The integrity of this finals series is all ready in question before it has started!
But nothing to see here, unless of course West Coast had some involvement! Just ask PTS?
Melbourne v Brisbane is my tip for this year Grand Final. I think the Dee’s will win.
Collingwood v Carlton in the Semi finals will be a cracking match 🥊
Unless the AFL gives North pick 1 (assistance package picks) and or Reid comes out and tells West Coast he doesn’t want to come, Eagles will rub it in to the Victorian bias media and take Reid!
Good luck to the remaining 7 teams in the finals 👍

Six Points: Meet your new flag favourites, the finals sleeping Giants, and why Sheezel still shouldn't win Rising Star

Well said. Luke should apologise and remove this rant, I mean article.
Kane Cornes is a fl#g.
3 weeks ago, Cornes, Barret and Buckley accused West Coast of tanking.
2 weeks later they flip the coin and accused Simpson of doing the wrong thing by winning 😂. What a joke!
Then Luke jumps on the bandwagon and the rest as they say is history.

No more rewards for losers: The solution to the AFL's tanking problem

If Taylor Walker is good enough, he will have the exact same opportunity as Charlie to kick another 10 this week against West Coast.
But how do you compare the Coleman V ladder positions? Instead of 7 sides this week fighting for the 8, we are down to 2 sides! I get it when the Vics say they respect the all powerful, rich, history West Coast FC but the hatred and bias stands out.
Carlton made the 8 because they beat 3 top 4 sides + those around them. Not bcoz they played Eagles twice!
Sydney made the 8 bcoz they were gifted 8 points. Not bcoz they smashed us.
You made a big deal on integrity when it came to the Eagles but ironically, the 2 teams remain for a spot in the 8 both lost to West Coast!

Six Points: The coach killer to end all coach killers, and why score review system will always be imperfect

Pete, I’m going off topic and I haven’t been following your comments however I would like to know have you complained lately about the integrity of our great game? (AFL)
Here are some that in my opinion are far worse than Eagles big losses in particular against Sydney.

North tanked against the Swans (Round 10)
Adelaide robbed against the Swans
That’s 8 points.

If you remove those 8 points, GWS, W.B, Ess, Cats, Tigers and Adelaide including Sydney all would be fighting for top 8 this week.
Would like to know your opinion as you have been very strong advocate for integrity this year or does that only apply to West Coast?

Six Points: The coach killer to end all coach killers, and why score review system will always be imperfect

Goal umpire probably barracks for Port Adelaide 😂

Six Points: The coach killer to end all coach killers, and why score review system will always be imperfect

I wouldn’t mind if the club gives Simmo till round 10 next year to see how we are performing on field. If we are in a similar position as now, then he must go, if not continue as planned.

AFL News: McGuire claims Simpson facing axe in bombshell report, Goodwin blasts 'absolute rubbish' rumours

I can’t see West Coast trading pick 1 unless they receive pick 2 and another late 1st rounder. North will pick Curtin if Reid gets taken by another club so most likely Eagles and North will trade amongst themselves.
Only way Eagles give up Reid if they get Curtin in return.

Was going to say something similar but it was easier to like your comment 👍

AFL issue Power 'please explain' after concussion controversy as pair both fail SCAT5 test

Adam, my apologies mate. My rant wasn’t directed at you. I made an amateur mistake and replied to your comment instead of posting as a general comment. 😱
Cornes has already infected me with his amateur performance of late 😂
It’s not your fault of other people behaviours, actions and statements.

AFL issue Power 'please explain' after concussion controversy as pair both fail SCAT5 test

We have heard from Kane Cornes all year rambling about other clubs, why is he so quite now? Had his opportunity to last night to call out the disgraceful decision the club doctor made and all he did was defend the doctor. If this was another AFL club, he would be calling for the AFL to dish out massive fines, draft pick, premiership points and definitely someone to be sacked as he has done all year. What a flop!
Last year, Port 0-5, the media and especially Port supporters want Ken Hinkley sacked. Cornes comes out and tells everyone especially Port supporters to relax, show respect and declares support for the coach even though he has never won a premiership, not even made the Grand Final. However every week calls for Simpson to be sacked even though the bloke only has had 25 to 30 players to pick from the list for the past 2 years. Coached Eagles to 2 Grand Finals and won a Premiership. Now he is attacking another premiership coach, Bevo to be sacked. Simpson/Eagles were right to call Cornes ” Irrelevant”
Clubs sign players on long term deals, he makes a big deal about but when Port does the exact same thing, it’s a great decision.
Can’t stand that bloke anymore, the guy has no credibility left to give his opinion on other clubs especially after last night’s performance!

AFL issue Power 'please explain' after concussion controversy as pair both fail SCAT5 test

More dominant you say?
Including this year, West Coast have been in the V/AFL 37 years.
Eagles record as follows from 37;
Qualified Finals 25 from 37
7 Grand Finals 19%
4 Premierships 11%
That’s an average of playing in
Finals 6 to 7 every 10 seasons.
Grand Final every 5 to 6 years.
Premiership every 9 to 10 years
If that’s not dominant, then good luck finding one that exists!

TOM MORRIS: Footy has never had less integrity - and the AFL wouldn't have it any other way

How’s this for a random thought?
Melbourne needs a ready made forward and Port Adelaide needs a ready made ruckman as both in premiership window for at least next 3 years. West Coast need youth.
Out
Melbourne – Grundy
Port Adelaide – Gerorgiades
West Coast – Darling
In
Melbourne – Darling – 500 goals + forward
Port Adelaide – Grundy – Premium Ruckman
West Coast – Gerorgiades – Has the potential

Six Points: Defending Josh Rachele, the Blues' unsung hero, and why the Dogs would be mad to sack Bevo

😂 😂 😂 pfft
How’s this for compromise?
Finish on top, best team all year, then get forced to play their “home final” at the MCG which happens to be the home ground of the 4th ranked side.
That was 9 months ago and happened in 2019!

AFL News: 'Playing for cash' - Eagles legend's brutal call on senior stars, Hardwick's coaching reveal

Pete, if you want to talk about an unfair advantage, the 2019 & 2022 1st week finals fixtures say hello ????

AFL News: 'Playing for cash' - Eagles legend's brutal call on senior stars, Hardwick's coaching reveal

No thanks! Take pick 1 (Reid).
If Eagles finish last, and say Port finish 4th.
West Coast draft picks 1, 19, 33, 37, 51, 55 and get what they can for Gaff.

TOM MORRIS: Adam Simpson is exhausted and the Eagles are a rabble. It's time for an amicable split

I understand that but what can they do right now to fix their issues?
If Adelaide and or Essendon finish top 4 or 8 by % then it will not look good for the competition. But then again when have we ever had a year where the fixtures have been fair and equal? Every year teams get shafted by the fixtures.
How is this for integrity?
I’m tipping Melbourne V Collingwood 2023 Grand Final and that’s because the Grand Final is played on their home ground, the MCG. 😛

Footy Fix: Historically bad Eagles are even more pathetic than you think... and it's more than just injuries causing it

Pete, it’s sounds like your afraid of Richmond, Carlton, Adelaide, Fremantle and North.
The only team that might benifet from this is Adelaide. Fremantle play against Eagles twice every year and most seasons Eagles are more than competitive to play against.
After our bye, most likely we will have Barrass, McGovern, Duggan and Hurn in the side back in defence. That’s 4 premiership players. Add Ryan and Cripps a few weeks later and you now have a side that will be hungry and point to prove and I don’t think Adelaide will get the same result in round 23 in Perth unless of course the injury curse continues.
If you ask me, If you going to finish last, this is the year to do it. Pick 1 is worth a lot and all clubs besides the 2023 premiers will envy whoever has that pick and I damm hope so we continue losing and get Pick 1. 😁
Coming back to what you said, maybe Sydney Swans should give back the 2012 premiership? They played GWS twice gained easy 8 points and %. GWS were a non competitive team with a full list.

Footy Fix: Historically bad Eagles are even more pathetic than you think... and it's more than just injuries causing it

Why would an 17-18 year old kid want to play for a club that receives Centrelink benefits every year from the AFL just to be relevant and play in front of an average crowd of 10,000 Vs the Biggest and Richest club in the AFL/Australia, over 100,000 members, first class facilities and loyal to their players?
Eagles might be a basket case right now on field but history shows they won’t be staying down their for too long with an average of playing in a Grand Final every 5 years!
I think the VICS are salty that their is a high chance a once in a generation player from Victoria is bound to head West.

TOM MORRIS: Harley Reid is a generational talent who could deliver elusive flag to GWS. How ambitious will the Giants be?
