Chris Scott goes ballistic at Razor Ray over his bizarre centre bounce technique

By The Roar / Editor

Cats coach Chris Scott wasn’t a fan of umpire ‘Razor’ Ray Chamberlain’s decision to bounce the ball off-centre in the middle during their qualifying final clash with Port Adelaide.

And according to former great Jobe Watson, Scott was well within his rights to be furious.

He did a good cover up. It is a heck of a thing. I like the bounce. It's so macho. And unpredictable. It makes it all a little bit silly like the goal umpires white coats. Now that was style. The way they look now, just too normal.

Unfortunately, he will get fined because of it...

I don't blame him. I hate umpires messing up the bounce. Get rid of it, ban it, never bring it up again. Just throw the thing up and at training work on your free kicks not bouncing an oval ball straight up.
