Yeah this is pretty much why I don't watch AFL. Strange how the little rats have almost become like the enforcers of past eras. They know they won't get whacked so they irritate and niggle. In the past they knew their place in the natural order of things.
The Flee is a pest but teams should be more disciplined rather than react poorly to a contest. He gets in players vision & upsets the cycle of play instead of describing his exploits as milking another free look at the rash behaviour of the opposition!
You have to wonder at the mindset of the umpiring here. The umpire has presumably observed enough of the incident to come to a decision of how he's going to react to it. He's decided to pay a free to Weightman ,rather than just letting it go, effectively saying to Kelly that Bulldog players are
a protected species. The umpiring bias towards the Western Bulldogs is a continual blight on the game.
