Australia will look to tally up a second win in the five match series versus Pakistan tonight, when they play in Dubai. Join The Roar for live scores and blog from 10pm AEDT.
The Aussies are in a surprising run of form in the One Day format. After losing the first pair of games vs India, they tore through the hosts to win the series 3-2. Friday’s win over the Pakistanis marked their fourth straight victory.
Prior to Friday’s game Aaron Finch was under serious pressure, but his man-of-the-match 116 silenced the critics for now.
With Shaun Marsh making 91, him and Finch scored all but 73 of the required runs, in a eight-wicket win with just an over to spare.
Haris Sohail contributed 101 not out for the hosts, with Shan Masood and Umar Akmal adding 40 and 48 respectively.
The bowlers struggled to really make an impact in Dubai, with only seven wickets falling in total, and the lowest scoring batsman making 11.
This match will be played on the same ground, but whether or not it’s the same pitch could decide the game.
This is Australia’s last ODI series before the World Cup, while Pakistan travel to England for a few T20s and One Day fixtures before the tournament, with most of the team will play IPL, between now and then.
With the round-robin format for the tournament, these two sides will play off again, so winning this series could be crucial for team confidence.
Australia should secure their fifth straight win, especially if their bowling attack can take a few more wickets, but don’t rule out the Pakistanis.
Venue: Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
Time: 10pm AEDT.
TV: Fox Cricket.
Odds: Australia $1.55, Pakistan $2.47.

Strange old game, Australia looked dominant at times, fell off a bit towards the end, but came home strongly. Finch made no less than 155 not out, in a masterclass performance. Unbelievable stuff. Australia win, by eight wickets, and with 13 balls in hand.
