The second T20 between Australia and Pakistan will be played in Dubai tonight, with the visitors in a must-win position. Join The Roar for live scores and coverage from 3am (AEDT).

This game is important for Australia. Their batting performance in game 1 was awful and a repeat of will gift the toaster trophy for this series to Pakistan.

After the limp performance by the Test team and the equally inept show in the first T20 the Australian cricket public are expecting a more spirited show in this game. The wicket at Dubai is batter friendly, so expect that the side batting first will look to a total of 180 to 200 to put pressure on the other side.

Again, the Aussies will rely on Andrew Tye and Billy Stanlake to keep the runs down. Stanlake, especially, has been a significant addition to the side with his height and lift troubling the Pakistan players.

The bowlers did a very respectable job in Abu Dhabi and a repeat will give the Australians a chance. The key is the batsmen. Can they keep their heads? They certainly couldn’t in the first game.

Prediction:
An improved performance by Australia, but Pakistan to win by 4 wickets or 40 runs.

Was impressed with Warner’s captaincy for those games he skippered in NZ.
