Yep, just part of this anti-Warner hyperbole regarding the shocking Ashes series he had. Considering the format for the AB Medal has always been an aggregate of votes of all three (originally two) formats, then it really shouldn't be a shock that one bad series isn't necessarily detrimental to the player's chances of winning.

Completely misleading headline. Looking at the clip it seems he's just answering a question posed to him about looking into the voting system, and he's basically saying that it's been the same for 20 years, so maybe it's worth revisiting, but then went on to say that Warner was actually a worthy winner, as he scored runs in every series Australia played, across all formats, except for the Ashes. One bad test series, but excellent in the home tests and all T20's and ODI's played.
