'Doesn't sit with our values': Tim Paine on James Pattinson's Shield breach

By The Roar / Editor

Tim Paine discusses James Pattinson’s breach out of a Sheffield Shield match.

Pattinson has since been revealed to have pleaded guilty to a level two breach for personal abuse of a player during Victoria’s loss to Queensland.

It has been confirmed he has been suspended and will not feature in the opening Test of the series against Pakistan.

The ban is also a result of Pattinson’s other indiscretions, having also been found guilty of two other code of conduct breaches over the last 12 months.

I think Paine’s captaincy and some bad bowling also contributed to that. And Stokes is no saint either. He sledges others profusingly as well. His sledging directed to Samuels during the 2016 t20 wc final is well documented. Re pattinson;this is his third breach of conduct within last six shield matches.Hence he has been punished.Rules are there for a reason, mate. Pattinson has been punished for his own behaviour,it has nothing to do with Warner.

And David Warner does? His “banter” helped galvanize Stokes in the ashes leading to the Aussies only drawing the series when they should’ve won it easily
