Comes from a succession of NSW bowlers who resorted to petty sledging when they can’t get their own way e.g. Lawson, Whitney, Matthews, MacGill, McGrath (remember the lovely “interaction” with Sarwan ?) Hopefully Queensland will grind them into the dust on Day 2 & beyond!
Yeah it really was Brisbane Warehouse cricket type stuff. Street reminds me of George Bailey in the face of Jimmy Anderson giving him a mouthful at the Gabba back in November 2013. But I guess it shows how much Starc is struggling when he resorts to that sort of stuff that he never does when bowling at his best. Normally you need plastic surgery to remove the smile from Starc’s face he’s that sort of happy character when in the right frame of mind.
