Lando Norris' heartbreaking reaction to first-ever F1 victory slipping out of his grasp

By The Roar / Editor

Norris made the bold decision not to pit and use the versatile intermediate tyres, better suited for the wet track, only for the rain to begin falling heavily in the final laps.

While he initially took responsibility for the decision, he did eventually shift the focus to why his team didn’t have the information others seemed to. McLaren teammate Daniel Ricciardo finished fourth.

Why is it heart breaking? Norris made the call and he stuffed it. Then he blames others when he clearly got told a few times he should be coming in. Over him, little brat. Very happy to see him blow his chance, has a lot of growing up to do. Eg after the hysterical little boy interview with a female Sky Sports presenter (cant recall if it was Rachel or Natalie) after the race a couple back.

The call was Box and Norris said No. He might want to shift blame but he made the call.

One of the best races I've seen in years. Daniel should have been on the podium if it weren't for his pit crew. Gee he can get unlucky with the pits at times. Lando gambled and lost. That's racing.

Norris didn't have the radar that his pit crew did. They should have said there is rain coming, you must come in. Hamilton didn't want to come in either but his crew told him too.

He had his chance. Ric is on the same team and he boxed immediately.
