One of the biggest rivalries in the NRL writes another chapter, as the Cronulla Sharks tackle the St George Illawarra Dragons at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 5:30pm (AEST).
The Sharks sit just outside the top eight at the moment and, over the last month, have found incredible scoring touch. They’ve won three of their last four matches, scoring 40 points or more in those triumphs, and will look to continue this form against their arch-rivals.
After a shocking start to the year, the Dragons have climbed off the canvas and find themselves just two points outside the top eight. Entering this match with a two-game winning streak, another win here would send a notice to the rest of the competition.
The Dragons notched their first win of this season against the Sharks in Round 5 – a 30-16 triumph at Campbelltown Stadium. Cronulla had won three of the five meetings prior to that, however – including the most recent match at Kogarah.
Kick-off: 5:30pm (AEST)
Venue: Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, Sydney
TV: Fox Sports
Live stream: Kayo Sports, Foxtel, NRL Live Pass

Total nonsense.

No, you are whining because people are whining, and the irony is not lost on anyone

No doubt, as a Dragons fan I was happy to see them show some ticker and hang in there

I'm not blaming the result on the decision, I'm simply saying that it was a dreadful call, and to be honest every NRL fan should be disappointed with it, not just Dragons fans. You are getting all worked up about other teams not being happy with a call that was wrong and has been proved to be wrong, but you complain about other people having a whine, can't have it both ways.

I’m absolutely not whining about the result. The dragons were bashed up in the center of the ruck and deserved what they got, you think you were unlucky, fine hope you get some solace out of it, I’ve moved on.

The restarts are a just differential penalties and are not given consistently. How long are they allowed to lay on a tackler? They should just go back to giving penalties for holding down. A stupid rule based on the premise that more tries make for a more exciting game. I've forgotten about S.Clarke being the most despised Refs in Saints history. Can you remind me of what happened? Thanks in advance.

It's incredible that some Sharks fans are whining about the NRL axing the bunker officials responsible for helping the Sharks win the game. I'm happy the NRL have admitted the error and are doing their best to improve and I'm surprised that you're whining about it.

It's only Sharks fans sooking here Souvalis. The NRL has axed the bunker officials responsible for awarding a controversial try so they're trying to fix the problem. The Dragons losing is a common result these days but Cronulla were lucky to beat them.

The NRL has axed the bunker officials responsible for awarding a controversial try. There was no ref bashing the NRL have admitted it was a mistake and are working to improve their employees. It's just Sharks fans whining about the NRL admitting they made a mistake.

The NRL responded to MacGregor's criticism and have sacked the video refs responsible. You're the one crying here and the Sharks won. Complain to the NRL about it if you don't like their judgement.

The NRL has axed the bunker officials responsible for awarding a controversial try so I'm not the only one who thought it was no try. The Dragons were unlucky and the Sharks got lucky from a video ref howler. Do you think it was a try?

Could be a great season - beaten Manly n Drags ,now for the other bogie team Broncs next week in Brissie for the Trifecta.

You know, it happened in the 9th minute..they controlled their own destiny by bombing two tries in the final couple of minutes but sook over not being able to do anything about a bunker decision for the other 71 .

Come on TBuck every team gets undeserved restarts since Covid.I dare say Saints have benefited from restarts during some games. The silver lining for Drags is that S.Clarke (the most despised Refs in Saints history) has been sacked.

Wouldn't be real RL without Ref bashing.

After 3-4 viewing in slow mo I do concede Bunker got it wrong. However, plenty of questionable decisions the other way - Ramien no try,Duffty flick pass to Lomax try.I think the final score was a true indication of the game.

Fighting for his right to cry, a nobel cause..that demand is certainly not ridiculous.

Of course we have a right to whine about the refereeing when a try was given when it blatantly shouldn't have been. I contend that the Dragons most likely would not have won the game in any case, but to say we can't complain about it is ridiculous.
danwain
Roar Rookie
Nah, was incorrect and both video refs have been stood down
