The Melbourne Storm play their final regular season home game against the Gold Coast Titans. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 3pm AEST.
The Storm are starting to click as they battle for a top four spot. Despite a poor effort defensively for the majority of their clash against the Dragons in Wollongong, the Storm showed their class. Josh King is out after playing every Storm match since he joined the club in 2022, with Nelson Asofa-Solomona named at lock. In a huge boost for the Storm, Ryan Papenhuyzen could make his long awaited NRL return after being named on the reserves list.
With finals football out of the equation, pride is at stake for the Titans to finish off 2023. Despite putting up an impressive performance against the Panthers, the class of Penrith led to a loss that was harsh on the Titans’ efforts. Jayden Campbell is out due to injury, which sees veteran half Kieran Foran back in the Titans team.
The Storm are starting to build nicely with finals football looming. At home, they are a tough team to beat. The Titans have points in them, but will they be able to defensively hold their own away from home? Highly unlikely. Storm by 10.

Just happy to see Paps back as I had serious doubts he would step onto the field again after that horrific injury. Sadly Hughes gets injured and it doesn't look good. Storm are done without Hughes. With the Broncos next week it will be tough to hold on to that 4th sport with the Sharks finishing the season strong. Knights v Sharks game tomorrow is going to be interesting watching.

Sharks can still make 4th if they win their last 2 games and Storm lose to Broncos as the for and against is very slim.

Just the one game for me this week. David Holden will be calling the remaining games tonight. Thank you all for joining the live blog. I'll be back for four games next week, including the blockbuster Rabbitohs v Roosters clash. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. This is Arnab Bhattacharya signing out. Take care and farewell.

FULL TIME MEL 37 GLD 16 Don't let the scoreboard flatter you. The Storm were severely tested, especially for the first 20 minutes of the second half. However, they showed their class and ran away hard with it. Papenhuyzen's short stint off the bench played a huge part in the Storm getting momentum back into the contest and ensuring the Titans never came back in it. However, the Storm will sweat on the injury to Hughes and hope it's just a short term injury. As for the Titans, they showed fight, but the game went away as the contest went on.

Congratulations to the Storm. In the end it was a comprehensive win. Commiserations to the Titans, you were competitive for a lot of the match.

So if Brisbane win tonight, the Storm can potentially play 2 games in a row against the Broncos at Suncorp right? That's got to be a first. 100% rest the team next week, the outcome means nothing for the Storm.
