The ladder-leading Penrith Panthers face their biggest test in some time against Canberra Raiders at Panthers Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:35pm (AEST).
The Panthers enter tonight’s clash riding an eight-game winning streak that began with a stirring 21-14 win over the Melbourne Storm – whom they sit one point above in first place. While the rest of the opposition they’ve defeated since haven’t been as impressive, they’ve already claimed the scalp of the Roosters earlier this year.
The Raiders continue to put up spirited performances and narrow victories too. A nightmare month that saw them play the Storm, Roosters, Rabbitohs and Cowboys (away) could have finished them off. Instead, they’ve won three in a row and sit outside the top four on points differential alone – setting the scene for this match to be a classic.
Penrith dropped both of their matches against Canberra last season, but had won the previous four meetings. Penrith have also won eight of their last nine matches at Panthers Stadium – but the only team to beat them in that stretch was the Raiders.
Kick-off: 7:35pm (AEST)
Venue: Panthers Stadium, Sydney

I can see where you're coming from. I almost went to bed. It takes plenty to keep us engaged these days. 007 Sutton

Nice refing in the second half to try and make a game of it - yet still he will get a big game next week...

I would rather Raynolds than Pearce.

Congrats and well done Panthers. I don't think Bellamy or Robbo will be too worried.

He's super determined when heading towards that goal line though, Jackaroo.

Congratulations Panthers, great 1st half. Not quite so pretty once the Raiders decided to compete.

CNK is just too passive competing for the high ball. If his finger is bothering him he shouldn't be playing.

Well done Panthers, too good.

While Cleary is only 22 he is a fairly experienced first grader. Has played Origin and several finals matches. It makes sense he is hitting his sweet spot.

He was outstanding in game 3.

Pearce only played for NSW last year because Cleary was injured.

I know the Raiders are missing players - mainly forwards - but there is a serious lack of point scoring and direction in attack.

What do you mean anymore?

What a kick! I don't think NSW needs Pearce anymore.

I realise the Raiders had trouble under the high ball early, but, is that a reason not to attempt to catch them now? Just don't understand just waiting for the ball to bounce.

The sharks have been ordinary defensively all year though so it’s not a reason to take credit away from the panthers in that game.
