Round 13 of the NRL season continues this Friday evening, with the Wests Tigers hosting the Canberra Raiders in their first home game at Bankwest Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores and a blog of the match, starting from 7:55pm AEST.

After consecutive losses to the Storm and Rabbitohs, the West Tigers welcomed the bye last weekend and the chance to re-group ahead of the run in to the finals. A further loss to the Canberra Raiders may seem them start to lose touch with the top eight.

State of Origin hasn’t hit the Tigers that hard, with only Moses Mbye backing up from Wednesday night.

Mbye has been named at fullback and will play as long as he recovers well from Origin. Corey Thompson moves to the wing and David Nofoaluma drops out of the 17.

Chris Lawrence has been named in the No.20 jersey and it wouldn’t surprise to see him run out at Bankwest Stadium.

So far, so good for the Raiders this Origin period, with a tight win over the Bulldogs last Saturday night, without a host of their star players.

After losses against the Roosters, Rabbits and the Cowboys, the Raiders were desperate for a win and Ricky Stuart would have been happy how his under-strength team held off the fast-finishing Bulldogs.

The cavalry returns this weekend, with Jack Wighton, Nick Cotric and Josh Papalii all named to back up from Origin. Jordan Rapana also makes his return from injury after missing 3 games.

Corey Horsburgh drops out with injury with Emre Guler replacing the suspended Hudson Young on the bench.

Prediction
The Tigers were two-point winners against the Raiders the last time the two sides played in the later stages of the 2018 season, but prior to that, the Raiders had won the previous four games by blow out scores.

While I do expect this game to be tighter than that, with Josh Hodgson’s absence a factor, I feel the Raiders just have more points in them than the Tigers do.

Was wondering that. Never saw it this week at all. Hopefully the away teams rule this weekend.

Lived in Helena Street, Lilyfield from 1970 and again l changed channel after down 0_10. What a load of rubbish. Having followed from then and now living in Yanchep, Western Australia the team commitment is non commit. If we could go back to Leichhardt Oval as historically great.

Funny I am a Tigers supporter but don't really watch this m anymore. At the end of the day we can't win the premiership with what we have got so not interested in watching a team play mediocre football again.

The Tigers are dangerously close to sliding out of contention this year and need to get their season back on track against the Cowboys in Townsville next weekend

Woeful. Tigers played like it was a training run, if only there were divisions, because the should be relegated. Only a couple of players deserve credit and as always Corey Thompson and one other is David Nofaluma.

The Raiders will climb to 4th on the ladder, with their for and against just better than Newcastle. They take on the Sharks next Thursday in Canberra where we understand Shaun Johnson will make his return for the Sharks

FT The Raiders have proved way too good for the Tigers tonight with a 28-0 win. The halves pairing of Wighton and Sezer came out on top, with the Raiders pack dominating as the game went on. Sezer's intercept try was fitting at the end. The Tigers tried hard but didn't have the class to challenge the Raiders defence, which was brilliant in patches tonight. Ricky will be really happy that the Tigers were kept to nil Tigers 0 Raiders 28

80' 30 seconds left on the clock and the Raiders will close this out. Croker takes the last tackle and the Raiders have been too good tonight. FULL TIME Tigers 0 Raiders 28

That's a new one to me, Raiders out on the full on the first tackle is a turnover?

How was that a handover to the Tigers. Surely if Sezer played at it and it’s out on the full it’s a scrum with a Tigers feed?
