Even coach Craig Bellamy had to laugh at when the announcement will be made.

Why is Smith is so good? Specifically? I actually don't know the answer. I don't think for the most part he is a highlight reel player like Slater or Thurston or Inglis or a Wally Lewis or a Andrew Johns or a Lockyer and maybe even the Walters. He's bigger than he looks but he's not a monster. My guess, is that he just does everything perfectly from 0-80, both as far as his core skills are required and in executing the game plan. Always throws it to the right player and throws the ball into the breadbasket. Doesn't miss tackles. And of course, is a great captain. One GF he was captain and the team won by 50. The next year he was out and they lost by the same margin and maybe to the same side. Probably a lot more too it than that to make him considered by many as the game's greatest. I am sure there are people with some good answers out there.

if The Storm win the premiership he may play SOO this year, the mind boggles i would be appreciative if he considered that and the last game would be at Suncorp , relative to his beginnings and QLD fan base
