John Bateman gave away a penalty for interference against the Sharks in a potential try scoring play.

It wasn’t a try scoring opportunity, it didn’t affect Townsend who was the only Shark with the chance to score so a penalty was correct. Also there was an equally blatant body check later on by a Shark on Croker that wasn’t even looked at.
