It wasn’t a great night for the refs in Newcastle.

Obviously you were watching Vossey's hysteria ....,I wish the bloke would learn the rules if he insists on refereeing the game from the commentary box....I used to love the bloke, but recently his hysterical commentary is getting a bit much.... The rules state that the referee is obliged to stop the game if an injured player is down in close proximity to the play. Tee play had moved on well away. So how does stopping the play 30 metres away , get a trainer on the field to assist the bloke any quicker???????

The refs didn't have a great night in the Roosters vs Tigers game either. Did refs dud Tigers TWICE in build-up to Luke Keary’s miracle pass to Daniel Tupou? https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/teams/did-refs-dud-tigers-twice-in-buildup-to-luke-kearys-miracle-pass-to-daniel-tupou/news-story/5fcca42b19f9e76ae8b76d55357792eb So enough talk Roosters fans about the Marsters try that was also no try IMO. Besides Keary was blocked 4 Roosters forwards in a clear case of obstruction in any case.

The refs went by the continuing play rule..the trainer should be blamed for not alerting them which he is compelled to do...Carlin Anderson in March is the precedent..dumb rule but there you have it..

Behind the play. Getting to his feet, so not in immediate danger. Play on.
