I think verrills was a huge beneficiary of having cronk in the team, he really relished having an experienced half helping direct the team, with east's injury toll I think he gets lost - can't blame him for that
Think you may be right, though I would hate Melbourne to lose him too.
I think the Cheese has moved away from his starting position demands and realised that he may never be an 80 minute player. I also think that Brandon is enjoying life in Melbourne so unless the Storm do something silly like make him a low ball offer, I think the Cheese will stay.
I'm not completely sold on Verrills, he's better than the revolving door we've had but capable of some bad decisions and execution at an important position. Smith would be an upgrade and then inbuilt cover for future Radley suspensions
First off have to preface this with "if true" since RL journalism is so shonky...that said...Seriously!? Cooper Cronk not enough? So much for the great coach Robinson...seems more like equal parts poach and coach. Have to say though its a great tactic to poach the best players off your greatest threats/rivals, worked great with Cronk so why not stick to a winning formula. Just wish they'd look closer to home...Pen..cough..rith...cough. Also have to say this in case its not clear...I am kidding around...well halfish. Have to feel sorry for Verrills though....he was a GF winning hooker, doesn't seem to be getting much love....or is it Radley who is in the firing line for one indiscretion too many.
